European Purse Seine
European purse seine is a term used for catching fish inside a large net to capture large schools of fish, then close at the bottom using a specialized line. When the net is pull, the pump moves the fish to the boat, where the net is then drawn back. European purse seine is primarily used to catch fish that swim in the middle and upper sea fields, such as tuna and sardines. The normal net carrying capacity ranges between 50 to 100t, with a maximum of 2500t upon request. This is one of the primary forms of commercial fishing, accounting for nearly a quarter of global wild fish capture.
JESSN provides a variety of equipment for purse seine fisheries based on different boat conditions. Shown below are just a few of our products.
