Speaker grilles feature a high-density mesh that can only be machined using a high precision EDM. Flash and sticking may occur if not handled carefully. High precision EDM machines are used for speaker mold production, and carbon electrodes are attached using a fixture to avoid any deviation during EDM. The mold release angle will be determined by the injection material, and customers can request a Teflon coating if needed.
