HGY5250TFC Synchronous Chip Sealer
1. Usage
The HGY5250TFC synchronous chip sealer is a small scale road maintenance machine used in construction projects for building roads, waterproofing bridges and chip sealing. The road chip sealer provides an interlayer treatment and middle stage maintenance for high grade roads as well as main roads, country roads, tunnels, and residential roads. Our pavement sealer provides a practical means of maintaining the surface of roads that are damaged by heavy traffic.

III. Components and Structures of the Synchronous Chip Sealer
Incorporating a modular design for convenient installation and maintenance, the HGY5250TFC synchronous chip sealer consists of a tractor, asphalt spray system, chip spreading unit, air circuit system, water circuit system, speed measuring system, control system and power supply system. A trailer and dump truck are also available.
Tractor
The tractor uses a SX1256DN434 chassis from Shanqi Delong, which provides the synchronous chip sealer with advantages such as high bearing capacity, low fuel consumption, easy operation and reliable break system.
Asphalt Spray Unit
Asphalt Spray System
This unit consists of heat oil system and asphalt spray system.
Heat Oil System
- 1. Coil: It realizes heat oil circulation from the heat oil furnace inlet to outlet through the heat oil pipeline to heat asphalt in tank and pipeline at the temperature of 60~250℃.
- 2.Heat Oil Pump: Pumps heating oil in and out for fluid circulation.
- 3.Heat Oil Filter: Filters out any foreign matter in the pipeline to protect the pump.
- 4.Expansion Tank: Supplies space for fluid expansion when the oil is heated. Any water and air will be separated and filtered out. An air hold bridging the heating system and expansion tank creates a simple, atmospheric pressure system that is safe and inexpensive.
5. Burner: Heats the HTF layer of the tank fire tube. All nozzles and asphalt pipes are evenly heated by HTF cycles. The imported diesel dual burner has a high heating efficiency and brief standby preheating time.
Spray System
The spray system for the synchronous chip sealer consists of an asphalt tank, asphalt pipeline, asphalt pump, asphalt filter, spray unit and nozzle carrier lifting device.
1.Asphalt Tank: Holds heated asphalt with an asbestos insulation layer that is 100mm thick, retaining the heat. A stainless steel silk board is easy to clean. Internal pipelines consist of fire tubes and heat oil coils. Oil is heated via the fire tubes and then transferred. The tank improves heating efficiency and reduces auxiliary construction time by maintaining the appropriate temperature for spraying.
2.Asphalt Pipeline: Delivers asphalt to the nozzle shell and begins major and minor cycles: asphalt tank – pipeline – asphalt pump – pipeline – asphalt tank.
- 3.Asphalt Pump: Powerfully pumps asphalt through major and minor cycles.
- 4.Asphalt Valve Group: Control asphalt cycling status. The valve group is composed of valve blocks and cylinders and is Patent No. 200520078497.
5.Asphalt Filter: Filters out foreign matter from asphalt to protect the pump.
- 6.Spray Unit: Turns nozzles on and off using a piston and straight reciprocating motion. Each nozzle is controlled by a cylinder. The pipe’s special design ensures uniform pressure and a good spraying performance.
7.Nozzle Carrier Lifting Device: Controls nozzle carrier height via two lifting cylinders.
Chip Spreading Unit
The chip spreading unit for the synchronous chip sealer consists of a spreader carrier, feed gate assembly, roller assembly, distribution plate and spreading plate. The 35°angle of the storage bin allows aggregate to fall via gravity. Aggregate is fed through the feed gate to the roller, which transfers it to the charger, swings it to the distribution plate, distributes the chips on the spreading plate, and finally sprays similar sized aggregate evenly on the ground.
1.Spreader Carrier: connect spreading with aggregate bin, let the aggregates go through the designed gate;
- 2.Feed Gate Assembly: Opens and closes feed gates separately to regulate the volume of chip spreading.
3.Roller Assembly: Regulates the spreading volume by adjusting the roller’s speed.
4.Distribution Plate: Uniformly distributes aggregate from the roller and conveys it to the spreading plate.
5.Spreading Plate: Uniformly spreads aggregate from the distribution plate to the ground.
Air Circuit System
The air circuit system includes the air source (on the tractor), distribution air bags, control valve, air tube, joint, solenoid valve, and cylinder. The tractor provides plenty of direct air, guaranteeing the performance of the power system, chip spreader, asphalt spray, asphalt valve group and waterway system.
Water Circuit System
The water circuit system for the synchronous chip sealer includes a water tank, filter, solenoid valve, control valve, water pipe, water spray frame, and water nozzle. The water nozzle is added to the upper part of each tire, preventing asphalt from adhering to the tires during construction and the wheels from skidding in tough conditions.
Control System
1. Automatic control of the spray volume and walking speed according to the spraying capacity.
2. Spray volume can be changed on the computer in the cab.
3. Accurate control of the asphalt pump displacement ensures an error rate of ±1.5% in the spray volume.
4. System accurately detects the asphalt pump speed.
5. Easily switch between manual and automatic mode.
6. Width of the asphalt and chip spray can be adjusted.
7. Easily adjust the height of the nozzles. A roll shaft spray device has an accuracy of ±2%.
8. The cab for the synchronous chip sealer is equipped with a real-time monitoring device and automatic operation panel.
Speed Measuring System
The speed measuring system includes a power supply, radar detector, fixed mount radar, signal conversion device and output device. It uses a 12V DC inverter power supply to prevent damage and an imported radar detector that is accurate, fast, easy to operate and adaptable. Compared to other speed measuring systems, this system is waterproof, resistant to interference and able to work all day.
Power Supply System
The power supply system operates at full PTO power. Key parts, such as the hydraulic pump, hydraulic motor, lifting hydraulic cylinder, asphalt pump, heat oil pump, gas control valve, proportioning valve, automatic control system, and velocity radar, are all qualified so the entire synchronous chip sealer is reliable and long lasting.
