MGO Cooling System (Marine Gas Oil)
The MGO (Marine gas oil) cooling system mainly consists of a water chilling unit and marine gas oil cooling unit. This system is designed to satisfy usage requirements of marine gas oil when shipping to EU ports or California. For EU ports, both secondary engine and boiler should use marine gas oil; for 24 sea miles inside California coastline. The main engine is also included in this restriction. Accounting for this, old ships need some diesel engine optimizations, including fuel oil conversion devices, oil supply system, combustion systems, and monitor and display systems while new ship should ensure its equipment satisfies the usage of marine gas oil.
MGO cooling systems are typically applied for marine gas oil used in marine main engines, secondary engines, and boilers.
