Rotary Flash Dryer
General Description
XSG series Rotary flash Dryer is a new type of drying equipment, which is successfully developed by our company itself on the basis of the introduction and absorption of foreign advanced technologies. The equipment has many advantages, such as advanced technologies, reasonable design, compact structure, wide scope of application, large production capacity, fine product quality, energy-saving and high efficiency. Meanwhile, in one drying equipment, crushing and sieving accomplish at one time, eliminating the environment pollution. All performances of the whole machine’s reach the international advanced technology level.
Principle
Through the inlet pipe, the hot air enters the mixing and crushing dryer chamber, at an appropriate spouting velocity from the bottom of the dryer, which results in strong shearing, blowing floating and rotating effect to the material, so the material is made into particles due to the exertions of centrifugation, shearing, collision, friction, and the heat transfer and mass transfer is strengthened. At the bottom of the dryer, the bigger and wetter particle clumps are broken by mechanical crushing under the action of the agitator. The particles with lower moisture content and smaller sizes are entrained by the spirally-rotating air stream, and are further dried during rising course. Because two phases of gas-solid are rotating and flowing, and solid phase inertia is greater than that of the gas phase, thus the relative velocity between two phases is larger, and heat transfer and mass transfer between two phases is strengthened , therefore the machine has a high production power.
Features
Variety of feeding device for selection, continuous stable feeding, no bridging phenomenon in the process.
"At the bottom of the dryer, a special cooling device is set, avoiding the occurrence of deterioration phenomenon to material in the high-temperature zone at the bottom of drier.
A special pressure seal device and cooling device for bearings, effectively prolong the service life of transmission parts.
A special air distributing device reduces the resistance of the equipment, and provides the processing air amount effectively for the dryer.
The drying chamber is configurated with a grading ring and a swirl plate, and the fineness of the material and the final water content can be adjusted. (Eg.calcium carbonate moisture can be regulated to be less than or equal to 0.1%).
Compared with other drying methods, it can effectively increase the material bulk density.
High circumferential gas velocity inside the dryer chamber and short material residence time can effectively prevent the phenomenon of materials wall-sticking and deterioration of heat sensitive material, achieving that small-scale equipment is operated highly efficiently and fast for large-scale production.

1. The evaporated moisture amount is calculated based on inlet temp. of 180℃ and outlet temp of 80℃.

Plant process advantages:
1. Drying adhesive material: the internal cone structure of the dryer, the scouring by the gas stream to the walls and the structure of the agitator, these 3 factors determine that the dryer can process adhesive material.
2. Dying heat sensitive materials: due to the short drying time, big relative velocity between material and the hottest air does not contact with the dried material directly, so it is suitable for treatment of heat sensitive materials.
3. High drying strength: due to the materials in the drying process is crushed, scoured, impacted, the surface area is increased as enhances the drying; at the same time, because the hottest air does not contact with the dried material directly, the air inlet temperature can be higher than the melting point of the material, so XSG series rotary flash dryer has a high drying strength.
4. Effectively controlling the final moisture content and fineness: through the internally configurated parts to the drying tower (swirl plate, TaoXiHuan or grading device), and through the unity and coordination of inlet and outlet air temperatures., the final moisture and the fineness of the finished product can be effectively controlled.
5. Meeting standard of environmental protection: System is operated under a macro-pressure, as can eliminate pollution of operating environment. And according to different materials, different dust-collection method and dust-collection material is applied (pulse type cloth bag dust collector, water bath dust collector, venturi wet scrubber).
6. Adopting a flexible combined drying method: acc. to different materials, different forms of feeder and discharging device can be adopted in order to achieve automatic and continuous feeding and smooth material-discharge.
7. Optimal power matching: according to the different material properties (density, bulk density, viscosity, fineness, initial moisture content, the final moisture, angle of repose, etc.), the optimal powers can be equipped with the blower, draft fan, mixer, feeder The blower, fan, mixer, feeder and etc. can be equipped with the best power.
