    The magnesium carbonate basic, or basic magnesium carbonate, is white loose powder or brittle substance with density of 2.16g/mL at 20 ℃. In water, it is almost insoluble but can cause mild alkaline reaction. It is insoluble in ethanol, but dissolve and foam in dilute acid.No decomposition happens under normal conditions.

    Light magnesium carbonate basic: 20Kg or 10Kg / polywoven bag or kraft paper bag
    Heavy magnesium carbonate basic: 25Kg / polywoven bag or kraft paper bag

    5. Usage
    The magnesium carbonate basic can be used for the following purposes:
    a) mainly used as a transparent or light-colored rubber filler and reinforcing agent, improving the abrasion resistance, tensile strength and bending resistance of the rubber; also as an additive for paints, coatings and graphites; or in toothpaste, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and other industries.

    b) as flour treatment agent, chewing gun base, alkaline agent, desiccant, color protection agent, anti-caking agent, leavening agent and acidity regulator, used for edible salt, powdered sugar, acidified cream, milk, ice cream, and cookies. As a flour treatment agent, the maximum dosage is 5.0g/kg, and in wheat flour, the maximum dosage is 1.5g/kg (flour).

    c) for the manufacture of magnesium salts,medicine and the clear liquid filtration; as ingredient of heat insulating materials, rubber and specialty glass.

    d) an excellent rubber filler and reinforcing agent, which is more effective than calcium carbonate and clay. The refractive index of magnesium carbonate basic is similar to natural rubber, so it is suitable for the manufacture of transparent or translucent products, such as tapes, plastic wires, sports and health products, hoses, etc.

    e) an alternative to magnesium oxide in chloroprene adhesive, improving glue transparency.

    f) also used in the manufacture ofmagnesium salt, magnesium oxide, fireproof coating, ink, ceramic, glass, toothpaste, talcum powder and shavingointment.

    g) as antacids in medical field; also commonly used as a desiccant, filter media, anti-caking agents, heat insulation and fire resistant material.

    6. Storage and Handling
    The chemical should be stored in dry and ventilated warehouse. Prevent moisture and heat. Handle with care to prevent damage to packing. It should be stored separately from toxic substances.
