Slotted Nut
K lock nuts are most often used in sheet metals or plates. It features a round shape with a knurled thread and a guiding slot on the inner end. During assembly, the knurled thread is inserted into the preset hole of the sheet metal using a high pressure. The pre-set hole diameter is generally just a bit smaller than the outer diameter of the knurled thread. This leads to a plastic deformation around the hole, so that the nut will be squeezed into the guiding slot, effectively producing a locking effect.
