There are certain requirements for the thickness, size, and bending radius of curved tempered glass:
- For glass with a thickness of 6mm or less, the bending radius should be at least 1.2 meters.
- For glass with a thickness of 8mm or more, the bending radius should be at least 1.6 meters.
- The arc length should generally not exceed half of a circle.
To calculate the radius of curved tempered glass, you can measure the chord length and height of the curve. If you know the chord length (L), height (h), and radius (R), the formula to calculate the radius is R = [(L/2)^2 h^2]/2h.
Advantages of Curved Tempered Glass
- High strength and safety just as flat tempered glass
- Excellent thermal shock resistance, being able to withstand the temperature change of over 250℃.
Applications of Curved Tempered Glass
Curved tempered glass is generally used for curved glass curtain walls, skylights, sightseeing elevators, interior partitions, interior decoration, furniture, etc.
