Roll-over protective structure is meant to protect driver from roll-over damage, falling object protective structure is meant to protect driver from object falling damage, also called ROPS, FOPS, ROPS&FOPS.
Recently, as construction engineering and open-pit mining expanse, increase of volume of earthwork makes engineering machinery vastly applied. However, the working conditions are terrible, road surface is complex, machine traveling and working is unstable, especially when at works, barycenter moves front and up, machine become more unstable, high risk of roll-over and object falling damages. According to Japan Construction Machinery and Construction Association’s survey, 90% of deaths caused by engineering machinery accidents are because of roll-overs and object falling. To decrease casualties and financial losses in accidents, the best option is using protection devices, by adding ROPS and FOPS, driver’s safety can be considerably protected. Also, as international market requires more and more about safety, it takes qualified ROPS and FOPS on machines to enter the market.
