4041 alloy steel is a major material in CNC machining. It is a lean alloy steel that contains chromium and molybdenum, with an excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance performance, with a maximum corrosion resistance temperature as high as 600ºF (315ºC). 4140 alloy steel also features an excellent ductility, abrasion resistance, and fatigue resistance, which makes it easy to process and shape.

4140 alloy steel is used for a variety of applications, including adaptors, arbors, axle shafts, bolts, crankshafts, connection rods, chuck bodies, collets, conveyor pins & rolls, ejector pins, forks, gears, guide rods, hydraulic shafts & parts, lathe spindles, logging parts, milling spindles, motor shafts, nuts, pinch bars, pins various, pinions, pump shafts, rams, sockets, spindles, sprockets, studs, tool holders, torsion bars, and more.

4140 is used for heat treatment in a wide array of needs, thanks to its hardness, strength, and ductility.
