1. Colony detection
Within our lab, we performed colony detection for 54 dry towels and 54 wet towels in use.
First group: colony detection of 54 dry towels in use

  • Day 0 in use
  • The 20th day in use
  • The 40th day in use
    (exceeding standard)

Second group: colony detection of 54 wet towels in use

  • Day 0 in use
  • The 20th day in use
    (exceeding standard)

Experimental procedure: we carry out colony detection on 54 dry towels and 54 wet towels in used by volunteers under dry and wet simulation environments. We seek to learn under what circumstances the towel will breed bacteria. On the 40th day and 20th day under the dry and wet environment, the bacteria content will exceed accepted standards respectively.

Experiment result: according to the public supplies cleaning and sterilization standards of the Hygienic Standards for Hotels (GB), the total bacterial count should be less than 200cfu/25cm2. According to the experiment, on the 40th day and 20th day under the dry and wet environment, the bacteria content of the towel will exceed the standards respectively. Compared with dry environment, the wet environment is more suitable for the growth of bacteria.

Experiment conclusion: the dry towels in use are less suitable for the growth of bacterium than the wet towels in use. Compared with cotton towels, the fast dry towel is less suitable for bacteria breeding because it quickly dries most conditions. This makes them suitable for sports, fitness, travel and outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Note: under the precondition that the towels are dried thoroughly, the washing times has greater influence on the microorganism breeding. The washed and dried towels are less suitable for the growth of bacteria. Our recommendation is that you should change the towel every 3-months even when the towel is disinfected regularly.

2. Quick dry effect detection
We carry out quick dry effect detection on fast dry microfiber sports towel and the cotton towels in hotels.

Experimental procedure: after using the 40*90 cm Jinbo fast dry towel and 35*75 cm cotton towel (a little bit smaller than the fast dry towel) provided by hotels, they are hung out in the bathroom at the same time. Then we can observe the drying effects.

Experiment result: the time for the Jinbo fast dry towel to dry is 6 hours while for the cotton towel is 17 hours in the same environment.

Experiment conclusion: the time for Jinbo fast dry towel to be dry is 1/3 that of the cotton towel.

Note: compared with cotton towels, the fast dry towel has more remarkable quick dry effects especially in cold environments when evaporation is slowed. Your trip can be more comfortable, convenient and safer with one fast dry towel.
