• Intense sun exposure should be avoided within one month before treatment.
• Laser skin resurfacing, chemical peeling and other cosmetic items are forbidden one week before the treatment.
• Do not apply makeup before surgery to keep the face clean. And to prevent skin inflammation, 75% alcohol will be used to disinfect the treatment area thoroughly.
• Do avoid the sun after surgery and strengthen moisturizers.

(1) Is the nail fungus laser treatment process painful?
Most patients do not feel pain, and a small number of patients may have a slight acupuncture sensation.

(2) How long does the surgery take?
The time of laser treatment depends on the number of toenails treated. In general, it takes about 10 minutes to treat the fungal infection of big toe nail and a little less time to treat other toenails. The patients usually need only one treatment to completely remove nail fungus, and a complete treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes. After the treatment is complete, you can walk normally and reapply nail polish. At the same time, we suggest you to perform nail care to prevent reinfection.

(3) How long does it take to see the improvement of the toenail after laser treatment?
After treatment, the toenails usually grow out within 6 to 12 months and replace themselves. Most patients' toenails show healthy new growth in the first 3 months.
