The sand suction grit removal machine is one our highly effective grit discharging devices installed in the grit chamber in sewage treatment plants. The machine lifts and transports the particle sewage mixture as sand subsides in the bottom of the pond.

The design principle
The sand suction grit removal machine moves back and forth along the pathway of the top surface of grit chamber, the sand suction pump of the machine sucks the sand-water mixture from the bottom of chamber and lifts it to the required height, then sends the mixture into the sand-water separator to separate. At the same time the residue separation device of the machine scraps the scum at the water surface into the residue groove in the terminal of the chamber.

The sand suction grit removal machine includes the girder, actuating device, residue separation device and sand suction system.
(1) The girder uses the proximate matter to make the integrated structure, and the girder has enough rigidity and strength. In the three sides of the girder set the railings, and the aisle width of the girder is 1.0 m.
(2) The residue separation device connects the girder with the hinged connection, and the residue separation device skims the residue completely.
(3) The sand suction pump adopts a non-block submersible sewage pump, and the pump has many advantages like high volume, high lifting height and long usage.
(4) The impeller of sand suction is the non-block impeller and has the mechanical sealed protection. The pump shell is iron casting volute shell, the fluid channel is smooth and large, and the shell and impeller have wearing rings.
