Applications
The water treatment swirl grit chamber was developed for use in the pretreatment of sewage treatment plants. The device is installed in pre-primary sedimentation tanks and post-grid to remove larger inorganic particles from wastewater and sewage.
Design principle
With the rotation of mechanical impeller, the water treatment swirl grit chamber controls the flow velocity and flow regime of entrance into the water flow. Firstly, the sand descends in a spiral line along the inner wall of the pond. At the same time, the organics flow away with the water flow. The sand that subsides in the bottom of pond is elevated by air or pump flows into the sand-water separator with a small number of sewage to be separated and expelled. Finally, the clean water flows back to the grid, completing the sand removal process.

Feature of the water treatment swirl grit chamber
(1) The occupied space of the water treatment swirl grit chamber is small.
(2) The grit subsiding efficiency is hardly affected by water volume.
(3) The water treatment swirl grit chamber has high grit-water separation efficiency, the separated grit has low water content, the organics content is low and can be transported easily.
(4) The device adapts the automatic control of washing grit and expelling grit period, thus leads operating safely and stably.
