This full length pipe expander is able to meet the production needs of small quantities and many varieties of steel pipe. It can satisfy the diameter expansion needs of pipes made of different materials and that of various non-standard steel pipes.

As the main production equipment for large-diameter steel pipes nowadays, the pipe expanding machine has been widely applied in the equipment manufacturing of military industry, power plant construction, aerospace industry, and marine industry, making a great contribution to China’s steel pipe industry and energy construction.

Our pipe expanding machine is used in the diameter expansion of seamless steel tubes, longitudinal welded pipes, and other steel pipes. Pipes made of alloy steel, stainless steel, and various plain carbon steels can also be processed by this machine.

Features of Intelligent Constant Temperature System
1. During pipe diameter expanding, this system intelligently controls the medium-frequency power supply to heat the steel pipe to the required temperature and keep the temperature constant. It is able to adapt to the narrow thermoplastic deformation temperature range. This superiority becomes more apparent when expanding high-alloy steel pipes. It effectively avoids reduced pipe quality or mold scrapping caused by overtemperature of alloy steel pipes. Meanwhile, pull-rod or mold fracture caused by increased thrust of thermal expansion unit, which is induced by low temperature, is avoided. Hence, the constant temperature system ensures safe running of pipe expanding machine and eliminates unsafe factors.
2. This intelligent constant temperature system integrates medium-frequency power supply and constant temperature heating, thus ensuring that the heating for pipe diameter expanding maintains at the constant temperature state. Compared with manual heating operation, heating by the intelligent system simplifies operating procedures and reduces labor costs. One operator can simultaneously monitor the running of up to 10 pipe expanding machines. Also, overload protection is obtainable by programming on pressure, speed, and temperature. This completely eliminates the unsafe factors generated by overhigh pressure during pipe diameter expanding.
3. Two temperature measuring points are set for every pipe expanding machine. According to the preset heating temperature of different grades of steel pipes, the operator can choose the heating temperature of the steel pipe to be expanded and keep the temperature constant. At the same time, the heating temperature can be displayed and recorded in real time. The real-time curve and historical curve of heating temperature can be printed and saved. Also, the working pressure, speed, and other related information will be automatically stored, guaranteeing data traceability.
