Supplied in powder form, the calcium chloride dihydrate contains 74% CaCl2. It is easily soluble to water and comes with ultra high hygroscopicity. The typical application of this powdered calcium chloride is snow-melting agent or deicing salt.
Uses
1. With strong hygroscopicity, the calcium chloride dihydrate is often used as desiccants for various industries.
2. It is also used in food, electronics and leather industries for making acrylic resin, and in organic chemical production as agent for oil and ether alcohol distillation.
3. The soluble salt is perfect for snow removal of road, parking lot and airports.
4. In oilfield applications, the calcium chloride powder is used in completion, cementing and workover fluids.
5. Additionally, the calcium chloride dihydrate is excellent for use in brine refrigeration industry as liquid coolant as well as gas and liquid medium of air conditioning system.
