Brown Fused Alumina in Grits

Brown Fused Alumina in Grits

Brown fused alumina grits are made by electrically fusing a mixture of calcined bauxite, coke and iron filings within a high temperature arc furnace. These products feature high tensile strength and their micro-hardness is 2000-2200kg per mm2. The large crystal size and dense structure make this type of abrasive materials extremely popular in abrasive tool productions, as such, the most widely used materials for vitrifies, organic and rubber bonded abrasives, coated abrasives, bonded and monolithic refractories, investment casting and general industries. The material is available in grit sizes, micron sizes and split sizes.
