Copper-Lead-Zinc Separation Line

Copper-Lead-Zinc Separation Line
Copper-Lead-Zinc Separation Line

Our copper-lead-zinc separation line entails flotation and regrinding of concentrate ore. Instead of all raw ore, only concentrate ore will go through regrinding, thereby reducing grinding cost greatly. Moreover, regrinding procedure will further liberate the valuable minerals and make it easier to remove reagents and separate copper from lead. The process also facilities management as well. Due to adoption of new type non-toxic reagents, no pollution will be created, thus protecting the environment very well. The separation line is usually applied for treatment of copper-lead-zinc sulphide ore which features mineral paragenesis, difficulty for mineral liberation and non-uniform dissemination.

Application Case
In a dressing plant for copper-lead-zinc in Yunnan, they managed to improve their separation process continuously since establishment of the plant. Technical indexes became better and better. However, characteristics of the ore changed gradually as the exploration depth increased. Both grades of lead and zinc concentrate drop ped sharply. Their differential flotation scheme was no longer able to product targeted products.

Hence, they found us for technical improvements. After thorough research of beneficiation, we decided to switch to bulk flotation, which consisted of differential flotation and then regrinding of copper-lead concentrate. Flotation machines (total cross-section, air-lift, micro bubble) were adopted to replace the ones in the original production process. After improvement, the daily output value and profit were enhanced by 30,000 and 26,000 yuan respectively. The increased annual profit would reach to 7.8 million yuan if the total working days were 300.

Indexes of finished product before and after improvement are given in the table below.

Before and After Improvements Process

Case Two
When designing a copper-lead-zinc separation line, we mainly focus on comparison between different schemes, reduction of capitalized cost and full use of the ore. Up to now, we have already completed construction of almost one hundred production lines and they all have been well received by customers at home and abroad.

In all application cases, the most representative one came form a copper-lead-zinc mine in Xinjiang. The ore featured mineral paragenesis and small dissemination size. With their production process, the final cooper concentrate contained more lead ore than required and vise versa. Hence, the economic benefit was seriously impacted.

Later, they reached to us for technical improvements. We learned that the ore was complicated in nature and the mineral mineral paragenesis between copper and lead ore was very serious. After comprehensive research, we chose part-selective flotation. First, collecting agents with high selectivity were utilized to separate copper ore preferentially. Then qualified copper concentrate was obtained. Next, bulk flotation was done to produce mixed concentrate, which would go through regrinding and separation afterwards. The grinding fineness was 38μm and 78%. With the new process, more copper and lead minerals were liberated, which facilitated separation between the copper ore and the lead ore.

Our newly-designed process was simple and cost effective. Recovery of copper concentrate was about 90.21 percent. Both lead content and zinc content met the standards. Recovery of lead concentrate reached 88.3 percent. In these two kinds of concentrates, each contained very little of the other one, which was acceptable. In addition, recovery of zinc concentrate was also boosted as well.
With powerful technical capacity and thoughtful after-sales service, we were well received by the customer. They were looking forward to work with us again in the future. In recent years, we have built cooperative relationships with more and more large-scale enterprises in China. During the cooperation, we improved our service and built a professional installation team. In addition, we also undertook many big projects from other counties. The impact of our company is expanding in the industry.

Other Cases
In a copper-lead-zinc dressing plant in the North West, we adopted part-selective flotation based on analysis of ore characteristics and combination of merits of both differential flotation and bulk flotation. The grade and recovery of lead concentrate were 66.52 and 88.5 percent respectively, which ranked the industry leading level.

In a copper-lead-zinc dressing plant in Inner Mongolia, the ore comprises a major proportion of copper, lead and zinc and a certain amount of magnetite as well. Our technical staff conducted a series of concentration tests based on ore characteristics. Finally, we developed a process which contained bulk flotation for copper and lead, bulk flotation for zinc in the tailings, flotation for tailings and low intensity magnetic separation. With the process, high grade for copper, lead and zinc concentrates can be obtained. Besides, the final concentrates also included iron concentrate whose grade reached 65 percent.
