It is a type of woodwind, and ismost often made of African Blackwood, or other wood material, hard rubber,metal, etc. Our bass clarinet has a beak-shaped mouthpiece and cylindricaltube, as well as a open-ended bell. The bass clarinetused in modern orchestra has only Bb key.
