IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
Intense pulsed light(IPL) is a continuous, broad wavelength,noncoherent light usually in the 500 to 1200nm range which can produce concentrated high heat. It works based on the selective photothermolysis principle to treat different symptoms. The wavelength of each pulse of light can be different, so IPL is very versatile and is suitable for various skin treatments.
IPL uses filters to refine output energy of light for the treatment of specific area, this enhances its penetration without using excessive energy levels. IPL is commonly used for treat symptoms of lighter skin types.
