Anhydrous Taphole Clay

Anhydrous Taphole Clay

Product Number: SC-NPN
The anhydrous taphole clay is a new-type refractory clay developed after multiple careful tests and improvements to solve the problem that traditional hydrous clay taphole is not convenient to maintain as pig iron output is largely improved. The anhydrous taphole clay is exceptional in maintaining taphole, stabilizing flowing molten iron, ensuing production safety and reducing accident potentials.

Features of Anhydrous Taphole Clay
1. Much less smoke, less pungent smell, great in bettering operating environment
2. Excellent resistance to high-temperature molten iron, corrosion of slag, scouring and penetration by molten metal and slag, small melting loss, relatively large diameter of taphole, long tap time
3. Easy to drill tap hole, no fracture caused by drilling taphole, no crack under rapid heating
4. Short setting time, small structural change after sintering
5. Satisfactory viscidity and plasticity, good operating performance, easy to plug tap hole
6. Enough sintering strength achieved in a short time, convenient to shorten time
7. High adhesion strength and mushroom-style erosion surface can extend tap hole depth and protect furnace cylinder.
8. Excellent in extending tap time, reducing tap frequency per day and decreasing labor intensity.
