PEX Pipe
The PEX pipe is a crosslinking polyethylene pipe produced through extrusion molding.
It is widely used for plumbing heating systems, central air-conditioning piping systems, floor heating systems and solar water heater systems. The pipe is easy to install, and requires no glue. It can be directly connected with push-in fittings, metal embedded fittings, or plastic insert fittings for a waterproof sealed connection.
Size selection of PEX pipe: 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1".

- The PEX pipe requires no glue, soldering or solvents to connect the joint, thus preventing hazardous chemicals from entering the piping system.
- The PEX pipe is manufactured using extrusion, and is coiled on the reel for storage and transportation. This reduces both transportation and processing costs.
- The PEX pipe requires fewer fittings than rigid pipe during installation. It can also rotate at a 90 degree angle, so that no elbow fittings are required.
- The PEX pipe is more resistant to low temperatures than the copper pipe or rigid plastic pipes.
- Water flow in these pipes is quieter, thus eliminating the “water hammer” noise often found in copper pipe systems.
The standard connection method for PEX pipes to a brass PEX joint includes the use of copper crimp rings and PEX crimp tools. Insert the copper crimp ring into the pipe, insert the fitting into the pipe, and use the PEX crimping tool to crimp the copper ring onto the pipe and pipe fittings.
