Wire Mesh Resilient Core, Gasket
The wire mesh resilient core and gasket areconstructed by forming raw knitted mesh into circular and rectangular sectionsthat are designed to withstand pressure and temperature extremes. The finalproduct comprises a myriad of tiny springs, each with the resilience to ‘springback’ under compression.
Available Materials
Materials used for relatively low temperature applications of knitted wiremesh include grades 304 and 316 stainless steel. For more extreme environments,the knitted wire mesh resilient core and gasket products are available instainless steel grades 321, 347, 310 and 310S. For temperatures exceeding1000°C, materials such as Inconel 601* may be used.
