Our DP series plunger metering pump is a valve-less pump that uses no valves to regulate the flow direction. Unique to this plunger pump is the specially designed plunger that simultaneously rotates and reciprocates to take in and discharge liquids, all the while closing or opening the discharge or suction end. The valve-less design allows the plunger metering pump to remain energy efficient when operating across a wide range of high flow rates.

High metering accuracy is achieved by monitoring and controlling both the reciprocating and rotary speeds of the plunger, which makes the plunger pump suitable for applications that require extremely accurate controlled movement of high-viscosity media that contain solid particles. Other than transporting viscous media, this dosing pump is also seen in various demanding processes that involve high pressure and high temperatures.

Working Principle of Plunger Metering Pump
There is a direct physical contact between the plunger and the process liquid. As the plunger reciprocates, the volume of the liquid chamber changes periodically which in turn decreases or increases the liquid pressure that results in the suction or discharge of the liquids.
