Chemical Dosing System (Injection with Ammonia)

Chemical Dosing System (Injection with Ammonia)

The Depamu ammonia dosing system is primarily comprised of the dosing tank, metering pump, liquid level gauge, safety valve, pulsation dampener, pipes, valves of various kinds, and the electrical enclosure. The system comes in automatic and manual control. Ammonia dosing is used to inject concentrated amounts of ammonia into industrial boiler systems that are often used in power plants.

Automatic Control Mode Explained
In this control mode, the ammonia injection system is capable of sending signals indicative of the flow rate, PH value and electrical conductivity of ammonia to the PLC, host computer or DCS for processing. Based on these signals, the central control system would then tell the motor to adjust its rotary speed and the pump to control its piston stroke.

Technical Specifications
Adjustable range of flow rate: 0~100%
Input current signal to VFD: 4~2mA
Feedback current signal: 4~2mA

Signals indicating the status or faults of all metering pumps and mixers can be sent to the DCS or host computer which then controls the pump to start or stop. Depending on specific technical requirements, customers can select one of three control modes for the electrical enclosure: manual, semi-automatic, and automatic. Dosing tanks come in grade 316 or 304 stainless steel.
